Fundraising is Essential... Auction! makes it easy

Syncing  Auction! V3 with Greater Giving Credit Card Terminals Using the Interface Application

The Auction!-Greater Giving Interface Application

The Interface application is only needed with Auction! Version 3. To facilitate communication with Quick Checkout terminals and minimize during-event changes to your data entry network, with Greater Giving, we've developed an interface application that handles the data transfer for you.  We've removed the need to set up a special network configuration to handle communication between Greater Giving terminals and your Auction! data entry computer.

How Does it Work?

The Auction! - Greater Giving Interface converts Sync 1 and Sync 3 files downloaded from the Greater Giving Master Terminal to a file that can be read by Auction! Version 3 and it converts the Sync 2 file downloaded from Auction! Version 3 into a file that can be read by the Greater Giving Master Terminal.

In Sync 1, a file with the list of bidders who have a credit card stored in the Master Terminal is downloaded from the Master Terminal onto a USB flash drive.  The flash drive is taken to a computer where the file is converted using the Auction! - Greater Giving Interface and then uploaded to your Auction! Version 3 project.  The bidders are marked for Quick Checkout.

In Sync 2, a file of the balance due to charge each bidder marked for Quick Checkout is downloaded from Auction! and then converted using the Auction! - Greater Giving Interface before saving to a USB flash drive.  The file is uploaded to the Greater Giving Master Terminal.

Before Sync 3, the Greater Giving Master Terminal is connected to the internet or an analog phone line to upload the credit card numbers and balance due for transaction.

In Sync 3, a file with the settlement information stored in the Master Terminal is downloaded from the Master Terminal to the USB flash Drive. The flash drive is taken to the computer where the file is converted using the Auction! - Greater Giving Interface and then uploaded to your Auction! project.  All the payments are entered automatically into the project.
