Fundraising is Essential... Auction! makes it easy

Printing More Than One Copy at a Time in Version 3

Auction! V4 has built-in capability to print more than one copy of each page, for invoices or bid sheets.

As computers and printers have evolved, some no longer respond to the program setting for Printing multiple copies with Auction! V3.  If you've tested this feature, and need another solution, read on.

Selector for Number of Copies

Option 1 - best choice

Duplicate print driver and set for two copies

In Windows Control Panel, Devices and Printers:  Install print driver, if not already installed, let's say it's "HP Laserjet." Install a second copy of the same print driver, and name it "Two Copy HP Laserjet" or something like that.

Right-click on Two Copy HP Laserjet and select printer properties (not simply "properties.") Go through printer preferences and set number of copies to "2", NOT "collated."  Save these settings.

Open Auction!  Preview document(s) to print.  When you need two copies, click Print... and select the Two Copy HP Laserjet."  Voila!  Two copies!

Option 2 - "brute force"

Close Auction!  In Windows Control Panel, Devices and Printers, right-click desired printer, and select printer properties (not simply "properties.")  Set preference to two copies, not collated. Save and close.  Start Auction!  ANY document you print from Auction! (or any other program) will print two copies automatically.

To return to one copy, close Auction!  Open Control Panel, Devices and Printers, right-click desired printer, and select printer properties (not simply "properties.")  Set preference to one copy (1), save and close.  Open any program and print single copies as you need.
